Basil Marceaux is Following us on Twitter… AWESOME!

Who is Basil Marceaux?  Are you kidding?  Basil Marceaux is awesome.   Basil Marceaux, or as he calls himself BasilMarceaux.com, may be the last and only hope in the upcoming Tennessee race for Governor.  If you haven’t seen the video yet, it’s a must watch for sure.   It will certainly give you more faith in our American political system.  This video has blown up and gone big time viral, and in fact, he was even on Jimmy Kimmel the other night.  

We can’t confirm this, but we think Redlasso may have had the first video clip of Basil to circulate the web.  Our clip was created by a user on July 20th.   Now, there are hundreds versions out there now, and we can’t claim to have the biggest version, but we had an eye for this early… that’s all I’m sayin’.

So we were very excited the other day to see that the big man himself, Mr. Basil Marceaux was following Redlasso on Twitter.  You can follow us too of course, and we would be just as excited.   Redlasso on Twitter is here.

Daylife announced new stratgeic partnerships today and Redlasso is thrilled to be a part of the announcement.  The official release is available here via PRWeb.  

Daylife announced their new technology partners for IGNITE, a new program to enable content creators, vendors, and service providers to integrate Daylife-powered functionality and technology into their product offerings.

Redlasso Leverages Adap.tv to Monetize Online Video Content

So, we don’t work for free right!?!  Of course I’m being silly, but Redlasso is growing every day, and this is another development that we are very excited about.  Several months ago, Redlasso completed our integration with the Adap.tv Ad platform.  As we become a leader in the syndication of Radio and Television on-line content, it is critical that Redlasso continuously evolve and grow our Ad Serving abilities.  Redlasso has selected Adap.tv as a critical part of this process.   Adap.tv will be the “central nervous system” for video ad opportunities like pre-roll, post-roll and overlay advertising.  This will allow us to plug in an entire arsenal of supported ad networks, the ability to serve and traffic our own Ad’s, and even the ability to create custom overlay opportunities for our broadcast clients or content partners.  Adap.tv describes their platform as:

Custom Widgets: Michael Jackson News Archive / Betty White News

We have a cool new opportunity out there to enhance websites and blogs with great video news content.   We now have the support and “engine” in place to easily build custom TV news widgets for just about anything, based on topic, interest, a charity… or any hot news story you want.  I have two examples below.  Today is the anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson, so here we have a widget that is tracking every news story clip in our archive that mentions Michael Jackson.  As another silly example, we even created a widget to track news about one of our favorite actresses, Betty White.  Ha, awesome! 

As seen in the side bar of our blog to the right, you can also find a “Wacky News” widget, and an example of a widget created for one of our content partners, The Wendy Williams Show.

Every widget features a very easy green “share button” near the bottom left corner of the widget, this will copy the embed code to your clipboard, then simply paste the code to publish.  We also offer an RSS feed, which may provide an easy alternative for integrating this content feed into your site.  Of course, each individual video can be linked, embedded or published to your social network of choice.

Soon, we will launch a gallery where users can easily pick from a host of pre built widgets, or request a custom widget.   Don’t let that stop you from asking now though… if you want a custom widget, just ask!
